The Blood of Dawnwalker is officially out worldwide, and while we rated it very high due to its story and gameplay, there are issues that players are facing that will need to be fixed soon.
One of the major complaints we’ve seen online is Dawnwalker stuttering issues, which have been acknowledged by the developers at Rebel Wolves.

In addition to that, there are other issues acknowledged by the studio, and what’s more, mod makers have already released one for the PC version that will make the cutscenes a lot better.

Note that these are issues acknowledged by the devs, but that doesn’t mean this is the complete list.
- Game stuttering when in Windowed / Borderless mode – please try launching the game in Full Screen
- Game crashing on compiling shaders – please update your BIOS, that should fix it https://www.radgametools.com/oodleintel.htm
- Missing option of mapping buttons on a PS5 gamepad – we’re already working on it
- Sprinting stops when changing directions on a gamepad – we’re working on a fix, but in the meantime you can try changing the sensitivity of your controller from 1 to 0.8 (in the console settings)
Other issues that are known include:

While not an actual issue, if you’re annoyed at how cutscenes are capped at 40 frames-per-second, a new mod has been released today! Obviously, this is just for the PC version, but we’ll take what we can get.
PC players can download the mod now at Nexumods, which is called “Uncapped Cutscenes – Smooth Animations – Optional Vignette Removal.” The description reads: “Removes the FPS cap from menus and cutscenes, with an optional custom FPS limit. Works with or without DLSS and Frame Generation.”
Chances are, we’ll be seeing a The Blood of Dawnwalker update pushed out very soon, and once it;s out, we’ll let our readers know.
