EA has pushed out a new minor update for College Football 27, and this one brings not just technical fixes, but also gameplay-related adjustments based on community feedback.

Once players install College Football 27 update 1.012, this will bring improved run-action blocking; it also reduces the effectiveness of QB spin moves behind the lines of scrimmage, which is a godsend for those playing defense.

College Football 27 Gameplay Changes Applied on September 22

Here are the confirmed fixes and gameplay changes today:

• Improved run-action blocking to detect threats more effectively.
• Fixed an issue where custom-adjusted contain calls weren’t always respected.
• Reduced the effectiveness of QB spin moves behind the line of scrimmage.
• Tuned wide receiver catch success rates for better consistency on off-target and hurried passes.
• Fixed a field-goal blocking issue involving looping defenders.

No word yet whether the devs have a more comprehensive changelog, which might go live later, but if we do get one, we’ll update the article.

Some of the known issues that still persist include:

• Custom adjustment on offensive running plays using agrgressive blocking and getting pancakes
• Players not properly celebrating after big plays or touchdowns when using Coach mode.
• Dynasty locking bug
• Coaching carousel bug
• Playbooks not working in Road to the CFP
• Jerseys in Road to CFP not working
  – miami camo jerseys do not work.
  – colorado’s yellow mustard alternates don’t work.
• Dynasty bug where if you change conferences, you can no longer edit schedules
• Teambuilder proximity bug at home
• Kickoff return going to onside glitch
• Draft projections bugged and not accurate
• Band sound/audio glitch

The main issue here is that Dynasty mode isn’t even working, which we’re hoping will be addressed ASAP. In case you have’t updated the game since last week, a patch was released on September 10 and here are the fixes.
