All Weapons and Transmutations in Valor Mortis

Throughout Valor Mortis, there's a total of three Transmutations and seven weapons to unlock and make use of throughout your grim journey as William, and while I don't think you can miss any of them, it certainly helps to know where to acquire these shiny new weapons and abilities if you find yourself struggling. With that said, here's all weapons and transmutations in Valor Mortis, including where you'll find them.

All Weapons and Transmutations in Valor Mortis

The below table details all ten weapons and Transmutations in Valor Mortis, as well as exactly when and where you can unlock them. There's also an achievement for finding all of these, and you can use the checklist below to keep track of which you have and haven't found!

Weapon/Transmutation How to Unlock Saber You start the game with this blade. Fire Transmutation Unlocked at the very beginning of the game by interacting with the corpse that's being held up by various growths. You can't miss it. Pistol Unlocked after reaching the Demolished Path Lantern in the Valley of Ashes. Cross the bridge there and you'll eventually enter a fancy carriage that has this on the desk. Rapier Unlocked when interacting with the corpse being held up by various growths in the Abandoned Church's courtyard, while you're on your way to search the nearby Fallen Village for James' comrade, Louis. Blunderbuss Found inside a fancy carriage in the Fallen Village, in the second half of the area. This is just after the Volunteer enemy – a very tall foe with a long Greatsword – and the carriage is blocked until he has been defeated. This is also just before the Marketplace Lantern. Stasis Transmutation In the Caverns, you'll eventually reach the mines, where you'll need to go up a bunch of ladders to eventually reach the Old Mine Lantern in the area. As you go up these ladders, you'll reach a lever that rotates a huge platform in the middle of the room, allowing you to reach the lantern directly opposite you or go along a path on your right.
Go along the path on your right and interact with the corpse at the end to gain access to the Stasis Transmutation, which is capable of freezing enemies as well as moving gears/machinery. Musket From the Under the Bridge Lantern in the Vale of Wrath, go across the bridge and right into a small shack. Then continue through the forest until the path splits; on the right, there'll be a deer carcass and a white gravel road, whereas on your left will be a wooden building and some villager enemies. Go left towards the building.
Instead of entering the building, keep left along the path, but be careful where there are wooden planks on the dirt path here; you can fall through them into a tunnel below. Fortunately, the end of this tunnel takes us where we need to go either way, but this does mean dealing with more enemies.
After going left past the house, you'll arrive at what looks like a military base. There'll be a very tough Volunteer enemy guarding a wagon in front of you as you enter. Killing this enemy gives you the Wagon Key, allowing you to enter the wagon he was guarding. Inside, you'll be able to claim the Musket ranged weapon. Claymore After entering the church in Cursed Hollow finally, interact with the corpse at the altar there to receive the Claymore, and be prepared to immediately take on some enemies afterwards. Shield Transmutation The following assumes you have unlocked the shortcut through the leftmost door atop the stairs in the University's Main Hall.
From the Main Hall Lantern in the University, go upstairs and through the leftmost door. Go down the hall then ride the elevator on your left upwards. Go up the stairs on the left in the next room and interact with the corpse to unlock the Shield Transmutation, which allows you to fully block enemy attacks and any poison damage.
